Palestinians have been forced into poverty and lack of opportunities because of Israel’s aim to continue ethnic cleansing of Palestine.

Although there is no unity, Netanyahu gave a “victory” speech to a half empty hall. He did not utter the word “Arabs”once.

The audience broke into “non-unity” chants. Netanyahu did not mention that one in every four Israelis lives below the poverty line or that Israel’s education system is performing below the OECD average.(organization for economic cooperation and development.) He did not talk about how Giv’at Olga in the north has transformed from an immigrant  absorption center to a neighborhood of high rise apartments which most Israelis cannot afford to buy.

He did not explain why the government has not implemented plans to promote affordable housing , while destroying public housing.

He neither mentioned Palestine or Palestinians nor the serious indictments against him. He did not address the fact that he does not hold a majority of seats. To enact immunity laws and save himself from trial, Netanyahu will need 61 members in the Knesset to form a coalition, not just a relative majority.

The promise made by the Joint List Odeh, is that Netanyahu will be ousted thanks to Arab voters. Let us hope. ( Ayman Odeh is an Israeli Arab lawyer, the leader of the Hadash Party, the Arab Party in then Knesset.)

My Friends,

I am so impressed with Bernie Sanders. “to be for the Israel people and to be for peace in the Middle East does not mean that we have to  support right wing racist governments that currently exist in Israel.”

Bernie gets my vote!

Sen Bernie Sanders told a CNN Town Hall in Las Vegas on Tuesday that if elected  president his foreign policy would  prioritize justice and peace in the  Middle East and not reflexively back Israel against the Palestinians.

“ What American foreign policy has got to be about in the Middle East is bringing the Israelis and bringing the Palestinians together under the banner of Justice ,” said Sanders.  “We could do it, we have the wealth to do it. It cannot just simply be that we’re pro Israel and we ignore the needs of the Palestinian people.

The senator also said his administration would call on Saudi Arabia and Iran to set  aside their differences and find common ground.

Let us hope!

The Kushner plan for Palestine is a nightmarish monster.  I do not believe that Trump’s son-in-law has any capacity to understand the 70 year destruction of the Palestinian state, rather this nonsense is soul-less and a disaster. The aim, I believe, is the gradual destruction of the Palestinian right to life.

The Trump administration is using Palestinian security aid as a leverage to convince congress to support the recently unveiled  Kushner plan. At this point both Palestinians and Jordanians  choose to stick together to stand up to US bullying efforts. The Arab and international opposition to the US  “peace plan”   is reassuring but it is not certain if this rejection will continue or not if the US (criminal) and Israel decide to implement this one sided deal.

Netanyahu (the other criminal) announced Saturday that Israel has started mapping out an annexation plan in line with Kushner’s proposal which would allow Israel to retain all of the settlements and to control the entire Jordan Valley.

Israel’s elections are due March 2.

There is little help. Germany is always afraid to be seen as anti-Israel because  of it’s Nazi past.  Belgium and the Dominican Republic would not want to denounce the US forcefully. Russia is developing close ties with Israel.

Quite Catastrophic.
