The Palestinian people have lived 71 years of Israeli Occupation and Apartheid. Because of the Israeli blockade on Gaza, equipment for water purification has not been imported and 97% of the water is now polluted. In addition, the rising Mediterranean sea levels contribute to the salinization of Gaza’s aquifer, the only source of drinking water. This could be addressed with infrastructure improvement , but the Israeli blockade stops the importation of the needed equipment.
This blockade is supported by the US: Trump, Pompeo and almost 535 people in Congress.
Water is unfit for consumption. 97% of all diseases are waterborne.
